Dangerous Beauty Soundscape
2018
Sound installation, 15:04 min (looped)
In 2018, I was commissioned by Kiki Karaglou, a curator of Greek and Roman Art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, to create a soundscape to be installed in her exhibition Dangerous Beauty: Medusa in Classical Art. As I developed the elements of the piece, I had frequent conversations with Karaglou. The soundscape was designed to materialize in the exhibition space in atmospheric fragments, allowing visitors to engage without overwhelming them. It was presented for the exhibition’s duration from February 2018 through February 2019.
